HIGH ARCTIC, SVALBARD – HEADING NORTH FOR THE 2018 POLAR EXPEDITION
In few days I will be in Svalbard for the new photo expedition. With other colleagues we will move everywhere in the area looking for Polar bears, Arctic foxes and other incredible species which live in this harsh environment. This is the ‘Polar Week‘ and I’m so pride to be one of the people which are working in the polar areas in order to protect these environments and share their magnificent beauty with the people.
I’m packing all the stuffs I need to move North. In this area the weather conditions can dramatically change in few hours and, for this reason, I’m bringing with me different layers in order to keep always the perfect temperature (also in extremely cold conditions). I always carry with me in my suitcase #ciessepiumini and #napapijri jackets, #northface and #patagonia fleeces and my super-hot #himalayan gloves plus also the #sorel boots that can preserve the feet until the temperatures of minus 40°C.
As photo equipment I’m bringing with me different Nikon bodies and also several #nikon and #sigma lenses ranging from a wide angle with the Nikon AF-S 16-35mm f/4 G ED VR to the telephoto lens with the amazing Sigma 150-600 f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM S in order to take pictures in every different situation.
Now we can only hope in the weather conditions and also to have excellent meetings. I will post some news soon, if you want to follow the updates from the expedition please have a look here on my website or follow me on my instagram or facebook profiles.
If you want to take part in the next 2019 expedition please write me using the contact form or the socials platforms HERE. Expedition is limited just for few photographers and will be held from the end of March to the first days of April 2019. More detailed informations will be available soon.
