BACK FROM THE ARCTIC
A small update about my recent trips to North Pole around the Svalbard Archipelago. They have been a great trips, with many wildlife meetings and with some interesting people.
The Arctic is an amazing place with plenty of nature around. Unfortunately this year the sea-ice was really far from Svalbard. We moved really close to Greenland in the first cuise (130 nautical miles west Greenland) to find it and, in the second one, far away to North (81°40.2′ N). We met a lot of birds along our routes, few seals and a lot of tracks of bears but, unfortunately, no Polar bears in the pack-ice.
Nonetheless I was back with some nice stories and it’s enough for now. Here’s a small selection of shots from there, that perhaps will give you a hint about how amazing is this place.
I worked with really nice and skilled people and I hope to work with them again soon… thanks expedition staff and crew!
Soon I will publish new stories and pictures… so stay tuned!
